Elmhurst, IL (September 2018) — Adams Magnetic Products, LLC. announces the addition of John Maisch as Business Development Manager, reporting to Adams’ COO, John Cosmas. Maisch will serve new and existing customers’ needs for design and procurement assistance with all types of permanent magnets and custom magnetic assemblies, from simple to high-tech. His primary responsibilities will focus on growing Adams’ sales via direct collaboration with customers’ engineering, production, and purchasing departments.

“Adams’ investment in expanded capabilities at our Elmhurst, IL and Carlsbad, CA facilities and engineering resources to support our customers through all phases of product life are extensive and exciting,” notes Maisch. “Leveraging the collective knowledge of our experienced applications engineers with advanced magnetic modeling software, our applications engineering team can model and optimize our customer’s magnetic circuits before magnets are ever fabricated or assemblies built. This allows us to provide unparalleled design for manufacturability guidance, material insights, and collaboration with our customers. Combined with our experienced customer service, tested supply chain management, knowledgeable operations and certified quality systems, we’re able to test and deliver the highest quality magnets and magnet assemblies day in and day out.”

Maisch has worked in the magnetics industry for over 25 years. He joins Adams from Dexter Magnetics, where he served in multiple roles including outside sales, business development manager for compression bonded neodymium magnets, inside sales manager of North America, general manager, and production manager. Maisch previously worked as a senior test engineer for defense contractor, Bulova Technologies (manufacturer of artillery fuzes and missile safety and arming devices), giving him experience and insight into electromechanical manufacturing, environmental and high-reliability acceptance testing, as well as proposal preparation and transposition & flow down requirements.

“John brings a strong background in sales, engineering, production, operations, purchasing, and quality control,” explains John Cosmas. “His knowledge will benefit Adams in countless ways.”

Maisch has an MBA from Long Island University and a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Widener University in Pennsylvania. He and his wife enjoy spending time with their four children or kayaking on the Fox River, listening to live music, biking and hiking.
